Tell Me What You See Here ...

Watch this video, and tell me what you see.

Pelosi's stupid pro-Obamacare button is gone from her lapel.

He definitely has some magic or voodoo going on, and that's what makes him fascinating to me.

In the clip you link, I see the affable TV-host Trump. I see a guy who could be my grandpa's more talkative friend. But this is also on a day when he's cemented the ultimate victory. He's indulging in enjoying being surrounded by his family and the attention, and also, in being magnanimous by joking around with his supposed political enemies. (That's an alpha thing to do, be generous in victory.) Because in the back of my mind I think of Trump as alpha and charismatic, I guess I figure that inside he's thinking dark triumphant self-congratulatory thoughts. But he shows no outward sign of that sort of fist-pumping celebration of destroying his enemies. And I'm kinda watching for it. I can't help it. So that only makes him more compelling to watch.

I wish I understood it.

I am not a person who is smitten with Trump. In general, I don't care too much about this personality stuff when it comes to politicians.

However, when I watch this video, I am struck by Trump's charisma. Even Nancy Pelosi seems to be getting wet. I think Trump could grab her pussy and she'd instantly become 50 years younger.

Also, Barron Trump is way more good looking than I had realized. The whole nation of women are going to be smitten with him. He is an American Prince.

I see there is a man who is completely comfortable assuming power. He just took power and he is handling all those people who have been there for years as if it is the most natural thing in the world that they would just fawn all over him, being deferential, and listen to him, because he is made for that.

That's just what he is. He's a leader and he knows it.

Nancy Pelosi seems like a girl standing next to a teen idol. It's weird. She is one person I thought would just hate him, but she is smiling and laughing at his jokes like she's on her first date.

Ahd he just sits there like he's absolutely comfortable. He knows he's going to get what he wants. He doesn't even have to sweat it. He doesn't have to play to them. They play to him.

I see a nice, normal family that could be the neighbors down the block. They just happen to be wealthy and powerful beyond imagination.

Pastorius said...

Yes, I see that too. The family likes each other. This is not a chore. Nor is it a moment for self-agrandizement.

I went law school with a young who worked for them and knew them. She said they are really decent people and they treat others well.

Pastorius said...

Seems to be the consensus on people who know them personally.

Also, the uprightness of Trump's kids says a lot about his moral stature, and that of his wives too.

You have to work hard to keep a family that close. (God knows my family tree looks like mesquite instead of oak.) The family also cherishes children. I mean look at Donald Jr and Ivanka: eight between them and I can see Ivanka having another one.

Why does the Left hate this man? He is a wealthy east coast businessman who also honors the concept of heterosexual family life. They can't bash him for being a "C student from Yale, and a southerner". He is everything that should embody east coast elitism, and yet he acts so damn normal that people just hate him for not having an LGBTQ, drug-addled child in rehab, or a wife on the therapy couch. He represents the American Dream. And that is what makes him so dangerous to the Left.

I love the man. It is refreshing to have a normal, decent POTUS. What Obama did to our country was damn indecent.

Pelosi is a liberal's liberal. Liberals have no principles, they are motivated by power dynamics and emotions. Trump is the ultimate power personality. A very very wealthy and powerful man who carefully manages his public persona and now he is also President. In terms of power perception, Obama is nothing compared to Trump. Obama dissipated his power on his narcissism, and thus out of office he returns to the power ranking held by community organizers and adjunct professors of Constitutional Law.

It does not surprise me at all that Pelosi is drawn to Trump like a moth to a flame. She has no power except for how much she can broker by positioning herself in the flow. But Trump is not fooled and he will play Pelosi like a fiddle.

Interesting points. Seems pretty accurate to me.

Chuck Schumer seemed to be part of giddy team Trump during the signing ceremony. I guess the power of the presidency has a special pull difficult to fight, even for these hard core leftists. And agreed, the man is charming.

Pelosi was wearing an ObamaCare button during the Inauguration ceremony? I saw the button, but couldn't tell what it was.

Pasto,
I think that Trump must have charisma.

About Barron....The Leftists were talking about his in a very negative manner yesterday. He was all but called "retarded."

Indeed!

And Trump is absolutely comfortable in the seat of power. Why shouldn't he be? He's been in a seat of power in the financial world for a long time.

Pastorius said...

Yes. Well put, AOW.

Trump has been in power for a long time, and all these others are pretenders to power, people who lust after power, but who have no real power of their own.

He has attained his. They have attempted to win what little they have, as if it is a prize.

When it comes right down to it, POWER IS RESPONSIBILITY.

IT IS NOT THE RIGHT TO LORD OVER PEOPLE.

Take away the people and one doesn't have a Kingdom.

It's merely responsibility, and Trump knows that, and feels comfortable with it.

Viewing this yesterday I wanted to mull it over a bit. I have four children who were very well behaved throughout their childhood, but I doubt they had the patience or stamina to partake in several days of events like Trump's ten year old son has.
I was taken with the poise and patience of ALL the family members. Those with very young children handed off perfectly coiffed fidgeting little ones to their partners - not a complaint or threatening authoritarian eye visible.
Yes, the entire family is a pleasure to behold especially for their calm, collective and fashionable presence, but also consider none of the adults were bothered by cell phones or typical parental distractions like potty calls. They have staff to take care of these typical and mundane nuisances. Their wardrobes are taken care of - so, for instance, Ivanka isn't concerned about the laundry piling up and whether her son's tie and matching socks are clean and ready. No one is concerned whether there is gas in the car or if it's been to the car wash & vacuumed in time for the festivities.
The degree of relaxation is evident because they all have professional assistants whose efforts make this family's calm demeanor and presence possible.
Of course, it does help that they all obviously love and support each other as well.

As a added note . . .Ivanka and her husband are picture perfect at the balls last night. Like a fairy tale princess and her prince. Breathtaking.

Wow! That is a beautiful photograph of two very good-looking people, and so elegantly dressed. Lovely.

Thanks.
